ABOUT THE CCC

The Community Counselling Centre (CCC) is a unique charity organization, operating both as a therapeutic counselling centre for the community as well as a training facility for graduate students specializing in counselling. In partnership with Northern Health, the CCC has provided low-barrier and low-cost counselling services to the people of Prince George and surrounding communities since 2009. Since opening its doors, the CCC has provided high quality experiential learning to over 100 graduate practicum students, and as a result, has provided short-term and long-term counselling to over 2500 clients.

OUR MISSION

We are mental health professionals and community members passionate about reducing the barriers to receiving personalized supportive counselling services in Prince George and surrounding communities. The CCC exists as both a service provision centre, and as a training and education facility. We believe that by supporting the practical training and education of graduate level counselling students, we can better support both practitioners and clients in the north.

GOVERNANCE

The CCC is a registered non-profit society and is governed by the Board of Directors of the Northern Community Counselling Centre Society. The Board consists of community members, student members, and the CCC's Clinical Coordinator.
